Description

Vertical Cell Electrolyzer 5.0 ; single cell without power supply. Condition is "New" AS-IS. User will need to set the electrode with corning stop cock grease or silicon rtv adhesive. Pickup and/or shipping extra.
The VCB 5.0 is a Emarena Silo product from the 5.0 ft, 6 ft and 8ft modified whip U-Tube series. The dimensions are 12 x 5 x 60 inches. Hire a  structural engineer to engineer multiple cells for use as prefab material in containers,  green-houses, dog-houses, walls, fences or other structures. Eight foot VCE sections might be used to build shed and garage walls with thermal potential.
This cell is optimal for constant electrode height change. These cells use a 1 inch diameter consumable steel electrode that can handle 2.5 Volts, 12 Volts and more.  The resistivity of the cell is infinitely variable with adjustable height electrodes and with variation of the electrolyte, voltage and current. This U-Tube produces low pressure Hydrogen and Oxygen gas from each port that can be collected. Under operational conditions each cell can produce 8 psi pressure or about 1/2 atm.
There is a failsafe over pressure feature by raising both electrodes above the wye joint.  Only one electrode will remain submereged if both electrodes remain above the divide.
Electrolyte may be filled, flushedand  adjusted through the bottom of the VCE cell.  This port may also be used to clean the cell without damaging the electrodes.  There is a single ball valve connector at the bottom of the U-Tube as a Wye connection that can be used to fluid purge or fill each individual cell.
This cell is designed to out perform both thin sheet and plate parallel plate flow cells using over voltage parameters and electrode feed technology. The electode is oversized and can be fed into the reaction chamber manually or by a computer controlled robotic system as an upgrade option and modification in the future.
Consumption of electrodes is significant for over voltage and over current protocol and the electrode connections can be repositioned using a bex key. A 2 inch diameter electrical shrink wrap shield (not shown) is provided for each electrode to limit contact with live electrodes.
There is no power, voltage or current supply provided. A 12-24 volt, 10-50 Amp power supply, windmill, solar or alternative power source will suffice for each cell.
Start your array as a single cell and add to an infinite array with a daisy chain and gas plumbing.
