Horizon Hydrofill Adapter Metal Hydride Refill Hydrostik Brunton Hydrogen Core

Description

This is an adapter that screws in to the Horizon Hydrofill refilling port and allows external refilling of the Horizon Hydrostik or Brunton Hydrogen Core as well as possibly other larger metal hydride hydrogen storage tanks or allows the use of the hydrogen gas produced for other applications. This adapter is not manufactured by Horizon.
By using this adapter the Horizon Hydrostik or Brunton Hydrogen Core can be placed in water during the refilling process. The water remove heat from the cylinder at a much faster rate then by air alone reducing the refilling time.
This adapter also allows for the filling of much larger metal hydride storage cylinders. The Hydrofill only reaches a pressure of 300 psi so make sure this is compatible with any metal hydrides you intend to use. Refilling larger cylinders takes a very long time. The cylinders shown in the pictures each took about 6 days to refill. The Hydrofill times out after six hours and will have to have the power cycled to restart the filling process.
